Ossenzijl - The Weerribben is a beautiful National Park in the province of Overijssel. The wetlands cover an area of about 3500 hectares and are created by peat extraction. Water is interspersed with narrow headlands. Enjoy the area by hiking, biking or renting a boat.
In the Nature Activity Center of the National Park in the city of Ossenzijl is a permanent exhibition on the origins and the peat extraction in the area. The center is a good starting point to visit the Park.
